Many local people stopped in again this year to shop, take a walk down memory lane, and enthusiastically support AWS. There were a lot of new shoppers, as well; some from as far as Grand Island. Wonderful items were found to replace old worn items for classrooms, the office and playground. We stashed some wonderful items for the Artisan Auction which speaks to the quality of donations this year. Our community is generous, indeed!
This event takes many hands and very strong backs. Thanks you so much to the committee and all of you who signed up for set up, sales and load out. It is a tremendous amount of physical work.
Special thanks go to Mallory DeFlyer (and family team DeFlyer) for her above and beyond volunteer efforts to help make this year the success it was!
Thanks also to: Libby Kershner, advertising and E-bay sales of special select items. Jason Oesterle, extra shifts, Artisan Auction picking and E-bay sales. Kristen Lewandowski and family for organizing and working the load out and delivery to Savers. The Price family for the use of their big truck used to gather items and then deliver the remnants to Savers. Scott Szafranski who is always so willing and able to lend a hand, especially moving the newly acquired items to classrooms. “Totally Edible” was here again on Saturday keeping us all satiated with their amazing crepes - Thank you Irina and Igor Dyuzhev!
Have a happy summer,
