Middle School Math Teacher We seek a creative, dynamic teacher with prior teaching experience and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
• Waldorf teacher training or a willingness to enroll in teacher training • Experience teaching at the middle school level • An enthusiasm for working with adolescents
Professional development support includes a mentoring program, funding assistance for continued Waldorf training, and an environment of colleagues who love teaching, work together in a collaborative manner and enjoy warm relationships with parents.
AWS supports self-initiative in their teachers and encourages them to work out of inner convictions within the Waldorf curriculum and in preparation for the transitions our students make at the end of the 8th grade.
The position involves teaching ten 45-minute periods per week, faculty meetings and work days.
This is a part-time, salaried, school year position. Benefits include tuition remission. Compensation begins in July. Faculty work days at the end of August and mid-June. School begins in September and ends in June.
